Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Haley Daniels has been paddling her whole life and there is no doubt canoeing is in her DNA. Since her first canoe trips while still in diapers, Haley has enjoyed the adventure and exhilaration of river paddling. Haley began paddling in open canoes, then transitioned into white water slalom kayaking, and onto canoeing...

For the past 5 years, Haley has been with Canoe Kayak Canada as a senior National Team member in Whitewater Slalom Canoeing, where she is currently ranked 1st in Canada. Haley has the heart and determination to go right to the top of her sport. At 23, she is one of Canada’s top paddlers. She has had the opportunity to travel the world for competitions with some of her achievements being 1st at the Canadian National Team trials and Canadian National Championships, 2nd at the Pan American championships in Brazil, and 8th at the u23 World Championships in the United States of America. Haley is a student at Mount Royal University with a major in marketing and a minor in sociology. She hopes to work in the field of marketing specifically in sponsorship, corporate social responsibility, and social media. Overcoming adversity has been Haley's strength where she has had to conquer major psychological and physical barriers. Her involvement in sport has shown her determination and motivation to move forward and work toward her goals of representing Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and the Olympics.
