Kathy, a repeating Ontario Provincial Bantam-weight Champion and National Gold Medalist in 2003, brings attention to the sport of boxing with her dynamic style and energy. Retired from competing, she is now a certified coach and official. Her efforts outside of the ring have been focused on generating awareness to fitness through media appearances & many fundraisers...

Kathy's love of boxing has lead her to design and instruct a nation-wide program called "Box-ON", teaching youth in public and high schools as well as adults. Since 2003, Kathy has helped raise over one million dollars for her local community through her various sporting and athletic fundraising endeavours. In 2011, Kathy played an integral role in training forty people to climb to the Mount Everest basecamp. In effort to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters and her local YMCA, Kathy helped 20 students train to climb Mount Kenya and build a school kitchen in a local Kenyan village. She has also ran in the Chicago Marathon. Kathy packs as much into her day as her punch, at BLUEWATER HEALTH where she is a full-time operating room nurse. During the winter months, Kathy also works as a cycling instructor for the National team and teaches aerobics.

Thanks so much ESTEEM TEAM! Kathy (Ure) was a great motivator for the students at Bonaventure Meadows!

Sharanne MacDonald – Heart & Stroke Foundation, London ON

Kathy radiated energy and excitment when she entered the gym and began speaking with the students.  She motivated the students to not only get active, but to step out of their comfort zone and try something new - like 3-on 3 basketball!  Our HOOPS day was a great success for the Heart and Stroke foundation - an even bigger success for many kids who stepped out of their comfort zone.  Kudos, Kathy and thanks ESTEEM TEAM!

Melissa Hogan, Grade 8 Teacher - Bonaventure Meadows

“Wow! What an amazing presentation Kathy Ure did for our school. I will forward the evaluations to you early next week. Thank you so much for looking after the organization of this event.”

Goederoen De Caluwe, Ciriculumn Coordinator, Matthews Hall Private School – London ON
