Kyle Grant grew up in Whitby, Ontario, and started competing in the sport of Olympic Freestyle Wrestling when he entered high school in grade 9. Over 10 years later, through Kyle's hard work and perseverance, he was able to achieve his dream of representing Canada at the 2010 FISU World Wrestling Championships in Italy finishing 10th...

Along the way, Kyle became a multiple time medallist at both the provincial and national championships, and he competed at both the OUA/CIS and senior levels. Kyle also earned status as a multiple time CIS All-Canadian, CIS Academic All-Canadian and OUA All-Star, while completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Arts in Economics at the University of Guelph. Kyle still lives in Guelph, Ontario, with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Maggie. Kyle is currently employed as a front-line Constable with the Guelph Police Service. In 2011, Kyle competed at the World Police and Fire Games in New York City, finishing 4th. Kyle continues to volunteer with the University of Guelph Gryphons and Guelph Wrestling Club as a training partner for active competitors.
