Motivate Canada’s ESTEEM Team program brings their unique athlete role model training and public speaking for a youth audience to Devon on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10.
Ottawa (ON) – October 7, 2013 – Motivate Canada’s ESTEEM Team program brings their unique athlete role model training and public speaking for a youth audience to Devon on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10.
The training will be led by National Amateur Wrestling Champion and Alberta Provincial Wrestling Champion, Corey Robinson, who currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Corey combines his passion for sport, as an elite athlete and coach, with his desire to give back to youth in his community and pass on his knowledge of public speaking and his experience of becoming a positive role model.
Once trained, these athletes have the opportunity to be part of a network of elite Youth Athlete Role Models inspiring thousands of youth across Canada. Trained to be adaptable to the most urgent needs young people are facing; ESTEEM Team role models inspire young people to set SMART goals all while encouraging them to become engaged in sport and physical activity for fun and active living.

- Joel Dembe (Toronto, ON), National Team & Paralympian - Wheelchair Tennis
- Ryan Sheehan (Calgary, AB), National Team - Gymnastics, Trampoline
- Kelly Lyons (Edmonton, AB), CIS - Basketball

Motivate Canada’s specialized speakers training is designed and delivered by-athletes-for-athletes and is aimed at engaging, entertaining and inspiring a youth audience (elementary grades 4-8 and high schools grades 9-12).
The ESTEEM Team program is made up of over 80 National Team, Olympic and Paralympic athletes from all across Canada that deliver positive messaging to a youth audience; the importance of goal setting and living a healthy and active lifestyle. Through examples of their own personal challenges and triumphs, ESTEEM Team athletes empower the next generation to make positive change and strive for greatness.
