Born and raised in Rchmond, BC, Jennifer grew up playing soccer, volleyball, basketball and track & field. Jennifer excelled in several sports but eventually focused on hammer, discus, and shot-put and earned a scholarship to the University of California at Berkeley where she completed a double major in American Studies and French...
Jennifer specialized in the hammer throw and was a 2-time NCAA all-American, pac-10 conference champion, 4-time Canadian National champion and held the Canadian National record from 2002 to 2007. The highlights of Jennifer’s career were representing Canada at 2 World championships and winning a silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia and she is 1 of only 3 women in Canada to have ever surpassed the 70-metre barrier. Jenn has a passion for teaching and helping others. She has enjoyed coaching at different sports at various levels, from youth soccer to N.C.A.A. track & field. Currently she is a strength & conditioning coach in Kamloops working with athletes from various sports. She is also a run, jump, throw youth instructor, teaching fundamental movement skills in sport, and is here with us today to share her stories of struggles and triumph!

Earning my degree from University of California at Berkeley. I completed a double major in American Studies and French with a 3.2 GPA while training and competing for the university. I was a 2-Time NCAA All-American and Pac-10 Conference Champion. I learned how to deal with stress and pressure both on and off the track, and most importantly learned how to manage my time and maintain balance in my life.
