Born in Ontario, raised in small towns across Alberta, Lynda is all about facing new challenges and overcoming adversity. She started shooting at the age of 11 with dreams of the Canada Winter Games. Although she was the alternate for the 1995 Canada Winter Games and never made it to the games her passion for shooting sports was already planted and her dreams got bigger, and the Olympics became a real goal...
She has won the National Championship in 2010 and 2014 and has gone on to represent Canada at multiple international events bringing home a Bronze Medal from the Commonwealth Games, Bronze at the Pan American Games and has attained a career highest placing of 6th at the 2015 South Korea World Cup. Coming very close, yet narrowly missing the Olympics twice has still not daunted her commitment to her sport and her goals. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta, and now resides and trains in Calgary. Outside the shooting range, she is a Senior Civil Engineer, is married and has a beautiful daughter. Balancing home, work, and a blooming athletic career takes a lot of dedication and an incredible support team.
