Tanja Reid is a 42 year old Jamaican-Canadian busy homeschooling mother of 5 children ages 18, 16, 14, 8 and 2. She’s been in the fitness industry for about 20 years as an athlete, coach, trainer and nutrition consultant. She ran for Team Canada at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, B.C. and ended her track career after she competed in the 200m finals at the 1996 Olympic Trials. As a certified 1st degree black belt student and instructor, the former NCAA All American athlete combines her background in track & field, fitness, nutrition and martial arts for obtaining optimum health. She believes that anything is possible and lives by the idea that success is a result of setting your mind on something, never giving up and taking the necessary steps to accomplish your goals. Tanja is passionate about health and fitness and helping others achieve their goals. She’s also studying to become a Relaxation Therapist, while training for her 2nd degree black belt.

My Mom was a great role model for my life in general with her quiet strength, independence, and work ethic! Sprinters Andrea Bailey (Canada) and Merlene Ottey (Jamaica) inspired me to want to become a great athlete!
